The Super Falcons have left Nigeria for the USA in the early hours of Thursday ahead of the consecutive friendly matches against world football heavyweight, United States of America.
Earlier this week, head coach Randy Waldrum released the squad list to play the friendly matches.
Eight of those players have now left Abuja for the USA this morning with other players set to join them in camp from their respective clubs.
The players who departed for the US today include: Tosin Demehin, Abiodun Deborah, Rofiat Imuran, Esther Onyenezide, Christy Ohiaeriaku, Mbadi Amanda Uju, Akudo Ogbonna.
The Super Falcons will take on the USA in the first friendly fixture at the Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas on Saturday, September 3, 2022 while second fixture between the both teams will take place at the Audi Field in Washington, D. C. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
This will be a huge test for the Nigerian Women team as the opponent remain undoubtedly the biggest team in Women football having won four of the eight World Cups.
