Football and other sporting events in the UK can still go ahead this weekend but there is still no official decision from the Premier League, the FA, the Scottish FA, or any other relevant organisations.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has confirmed that there is no obligation to cancel fixtures following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.

Leading fixtures from the UK Government and league authorities have been in discussions on Friday as to whether games can be played over the weekend.

Decisions from the relevant body are expected in the coming hours.
