Maduka Okoye and Valentine Ozornwafor has been included in the Super Eagles squad to face The Desert Warriors of Algeria in Oran, Algeria.

Nigeria will take on the north Africa side in Oran on the 27th of this month.

The Watford shot stopper was thrown into Eagles wilderness after the defeat to Tunisia in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) second round in Cameroon.

It’s been nine months since Maduka donned the Super Eagles jersey. He missed out on the World Cup two-legged playoff defeat to Ghana due to ‘illness’.

After having a good season with Charleroi in Belgium, Valentine Ozornwafor moved to French division two side, Sochaux. Sochaux currently top the Division two table with 16 points.

The former Enyimba of Aba defender debuted with Nigeria in a 1–0 friendly loss to Cameroon under Gernot Rohr, and has been called upon by Jose Peseiro.

As per OwngoalNigeria, Brugges’ new signing, Raphael Onyedika has also been contacted to join the team for the friendly game. The 21-year-old turned down a move to join AC Milan for the Belgian side when he decided to leave Danish side, FC Midtjylland.

The list of of players called up for the game is expected to be made public on or before Monday. Players are expected to arrive in Oran, Algeria on the 19th of September.
