Nigerians starred in the Europa League and European Conference League on Thursday with a couple of Nigerians getting on the scoresheet including Boniface.

Victor Boniface scored the winner in a five goal thriller between Royal Union Saint- Gilloise and Malmo, OJB Sports reports.

Boniface 71st minute goal was the decider in the 3-2 win before he was subbed off in the 80th minute when he appeared to have picked a knock.

Royal Union Saint- Gilloise have now won both group stage games and on equal point with SC Braga, a team they will face in game 3 and 4.

Peter Olayinka was also one of the star men of the game week with a goal and assist to help Salvia Prague edge Balkani in another five goal thriller at home.

Slavia Prague have now won one game and drawn the other to go top of the table, level on point with Ahmed Musa’s Sivasspor.

The Super Eagles played 57 minutes before being subbed off in Sivasspor’s important narrow away victory over CFR Cluj.

African compatriot Max Gradel of Ivory Coast scored from the spot to secure the victory.

Yusuf Otunbajo scored a stunner for FC Pytunik against Slovan Bratislava in a 2-0 victory with both goals scored within just two minutes to sink the Slovakian team and move one point behind Basel in group H of the UEFA European Conference League.

Two Nigerians featured for Sherrif FC in the 2-0 loss to Manchester United. Rasheed Akabi played 78 minutes and Iyayi Atiemwen played 81 minutes in the home loss to the Premier League team.
