Super Eagles defender has joined an historic club, PFC Levski valid till end of the season.

The club put out an official statement to confirm his signing.

“PFC Levsk;” signed a contract with
midfielder Abdullah Shehu. The Nigerian footballer’s contract is up to the end of 2022/2023 season. He plays in three positions: defensive midfielder, central defender and right-back. Abdullahi Shehu is part of the Nigerian national team, having 41 matches for the African
country representative team. He is part of the squad that won the bronze medals at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016. The midfielder also recorded 4 matches for the U-20 national team and 2 matches for the U-21 national team.

“Shehu was born on March 12, 1993 in Sokoto (Nigeria). He began his professional career in 2012 at his local Kano Pillars. In the summer of 2014, he passed to Kuwait’s Al Qadisiya, playing 7 matches and scoring 1 goal. A year later, he became part of the Portuguese Uniao Madeira,
with whose team recorded 30 games and scored 1 goal. Since the summer of 2016, he has been a property of Cyprus’ Anorthosis, playing 56 matches with 4 goals. At the beginning of 2018, he transferred to the Turkish Bursaspor, recording 60 matches with 5 goals. If in the
summer of 2020, he returned to Cyprus, dressing the team of the grand “Omonia” (Nicosia). He played 68 matches for the Clovers and became the champion of Cyprus in 2021.
The same year he also won the Super Cup of the country, last season he also became the winner of the Cyprus Cup. Today at 17.00 Shehu will have his first training session
with the Gerena Blues, the activity is open to fans and journalists. PFC Levski welcomes Gerena Abdullahi Shehu and wishes him many happy moments with the blue shirt.”
