Portugal national team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo was awarded the best national team scorer for Portugal on Tuesday.
Ronaldo has already won five Ballon d’Or, the top scorer in Real Madrid histor, in the UEFA Champions League history and is currently the top scorer in world football.
Present at the ceremony were popular football figures including Jose Mourinho, Ruben Dias, club teammate Bruno Fernandez and many others stars.
The 37-year-old veteran has added this award to his endowed collection of personal and team honors.
Ronaldo took to his social media to express his gratitude and delight for winning the award “Proud to win the award for the best national scorer for the country that I love! Thanks again to all my teammates, coaches, my family, friends and all my fans who helped me to achieve this great achievement!

Portugal will face Czech Republic and Spain in the UEFA Nations League as they prepare for the World Cup.
