The Nigeria Super Sand Eagles has withdrawn from participating at the 2022 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.
The withdrawal from the competition, it was gathered, was as a result of lack of funds per Naijafootballers.
The Super Sand Eagles were initially drawn in Group A alongside host nation Mozambique, Malawi and Morocco but will not feature anymore due to their withdrawal from the competition.
Defending champions Senegal, Uganda Madagascar and Egypt are the four teams in Group B.
There will now be a total of 7 teams, with Nigeria withdrawing from the tournament.
The competition is scheduled to start on October 21 at the Vilankulos Arena and end on October 28.
Teams that qualify for the knockout stages will automatically represent Africa at the 2023 Beach Soccer World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
