In-form Super Eagles and striker, Paul Onuachu has revealed the reason for his recent massive rise in goals, stating that he didn’t have to change his style of play to start banging in goals.

The Nigerian has scored six goals in his last four games including a brace yesterday and a winner in the previous one.

However, the striker had been subjected to heavy criticism at the beginning of the season, having failed to score in six straight games after being injured when the league started.

“Everyone did their job and knew what they had to do in the game against Westerlo,” Onuachu told Sporza as per Walfoot.

“It’s not correct to say that our opponents were weak. It’s only the result of our work. We pressed well. We played the way the coach wanted us to. we play. I’m very happy with this victory.”

Speaking on his return to form, Onuachu insists that he hasn’t altered his game play.

“I haven’t changed the way I play. The goals keep coming and I keep working.

“These goals are the result of my hard work in training.”
