A new Sheriff in town; new kids in the block and new champions. Kwara Falcons are champions of the Nigeria Professional Basketball League final 8.

A more determined and purpose-driven KWARA Falcons took the lead from the first quarter. Affirming the obvious, six of the Falcons boys ended with double digits – Tolani Buhari (the floor General and CP3 of the team) scored 16 points, duo of Samuel Dada and Adeyanju scored 10 points a piece (Dada doubled with 19 rebounds, 4 dimes and 4 block shots), Kareem 13 points, Mohammed 12 points and Victor Eze the maestro raked in 17 points.

A rather quiet Customs had Abel and Godwin combining to score 21 points – 10 and 11 points respectively and Ibaka Otobo stashed 13 points and 9 boards.

It will go on records that Falcons is the second team to participate in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) after this amazing win. Customs tried to close the border but Falcons, known for its precision and speed as a bird, recognized its advantage and flew past the Customs using air space.

Samuel Dada, surprisingly emerged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and not the usual suspects – Tolani and Eze as predicted by many.

78-53 in favor of Kwara Falcons earning them ticket to BAL. Congratulations!!!
