Group stages of the Basketball Africa League Elite 16 East Division have been concluded and four teams have advanced to the semifinals in Johannesburg, SouthAfrica.
Cape Town Tigers of South Africa, City Oilers Basketball of Uganda, Mozambique’s Ferroviario da Beira and Urunani of Burundi.
City Oilers finished the Group stage with a 3-0 record, the only team yet to taste defeat while the other three teams lost a game each.
In the semifinals scheduled for Saturday November 26, host Cape Town Tigers will face Mozambican champions Ferroviario while Urunani will be up against City Oilers Basketball (COB).
This will be the second meeting between Urunani and COB in one month. Both teams met in the group phase of the Road to BAL in Kampala, Uganda where the former emerged winner of the tie.
Winners of the semifinals will pick two of the three available BAL tickets on Saturday while the two losers will battle for the remaining slot in the third place game on Sunday .
