Australia makes history by beating Denmark to qualify for the World Cup Round of 16 for the first time since 2006 and at the expense of Tunisia.
It was an important match as Denmark knew that only a win will be sufficient for them to progress to the knockout stages and a win or draw will be enough for Australia.
It was the Danes that looked threatening in the first half but were unable to really create a clear cut chance despite Joakim Maehle trying to disturb on the left side.
In the second half, Australia tried to attack more and were rewarded for their effort on hour mark when Joakim Maehle scored from a quick counter attack.
Denmark who were tipped to be dark horse surprisingly finished bottom of their group table and are out of the competition.
Australia also finished as second at the expense of Tunisia who finished third after beating France in their last group stage game.
