Official : Ronaldo start from the bench for Portugal against Morocco

Cristiano Ronaldo is on the bench for Portugal’s World Cup quarterfinal vs. Morocco today at the Al Thumama stadium, Doha, Qatar.

Portugal’s coach, Fernando Santos raised eyebrows – and annoyed Ronaldo’s girlfriend and sister – by dropping the superstar to the bench for their last-16 encounter with Switzerland so he could start 21-year-old Goncalo Ramos up front instead.

Fernando has decided to go with the same lineup he used upfront against Switzerland. With 21-year-old Goncalo Ramos starting ahead of Ronaldo.
