Father of talented 17-year-old Bright Osemudiamen Prince Okosun has revealed that his free scoring son can play for Nigeria ahead of Spain if a condition is met.
The super teenage striker was born in Spain to Nigerian parents who are now residing in Scotland.
However, he has caught the attention of the Spanish FA while he was playing his trades at Getafe, performing astonishingly well.
The young lad has received football tutoring from various club academies, starting when he was at the age of six with Yuncos CD and Getafe CF before moving to Germany, where he played for VFR Fischeln, Fortuna Dusseldorf and KFC Uerdingen.
After the relocation to Scotland, Bright has played for Summerston YFC in Glasgow (Scotland) before joining the league One team in Scotland, Airdrieonians FC this season 2022/2023 where he currently plays his football.
The 17-year-old is known to have a good eye for goal and always a goal threat to any opposition. He is also versatile and can play anywhere in the forward position, beating defenders with his pace and skills.
His Nigerian descent makes him eligible to play for Nigeria while he is also eligible to play for Spain as it is his country of birth.
‘It’s a dream for a father to see his son excel in life. Whenever your boy goes higher in life, it makes you happy. In Spain he was the best and that’s why Getafe took him”, Kelly told Scottish newspaper Sunday Mail.
“I’m watching the World Cup and it’s my dream to see Bright play there one day. If he gets there he can play for Nigeria or Spain but it depends on who comes for him first”, he concluded.
