Manchester United and Liverpool have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko, according to reports.

With Chelsea’s Albanian forward, Armando Broja out of the remainder of the season, due to anterior cruciate ligament injury. The London team are looking to reinforce their striking options.

Moukoko has emerged as a potential option for the Blues in the January transfer window. The Dortmund’s 18-year-old striker is set to become a free agent at the end of the season when his current deal expires.

Born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Moukoko made his international debut for Germany just before the World Cup.

Moukoko has netted six goals and six assists this season and became the youngest player to score ten goals in Germany’s top flight.

Manchester United are also keeping tab on the teenager who scored a staggering 141 goals in 88 games for Borussia Dortmund’s youth teams.

According to the Times, landing the striker will depend on convincing him that he will not be signed to sit on the bench.

In an interview last month with German press, when asked about his future, Moukoko said: “I feel very comfortable in Dortmund, I feel the confidence of the coach. You’ll find out in the end whether I decide to stay or not.”
