FC Barcelona Femeni forward Asisat Oshoala officially received her Pichichi award for finishing the 2021-22 Spain Primera Division Women League season as top scorer with 20 goals.

In the summer, Oshoala won the CAF Women Footballer of the Year for a record five times. She was also ranked 17th in the Women’s Ballon D’Or, a record for an African.

She received this award alongside teammate Geyse Ferreira who also scored 20 league goals and adds another personal accolade to her cabinet.

The 28-year-old was heavily hindered by injury last season, playing only 19 league games and still winning the Pichichi award.
