Nearly 200,000 people have signed a petition to get the Argentina-France World Cup final to be replayed.

According to fans who signed the petition on a French website, MesOpinions, they claimed that Argentina’s first two goals should not have stood.

The fans believe that referee Szymon Marciniak got it wrong when Ousmane Dembele was ruled to have fouled Angel Di Maria for the opening penalty, which was converted by Messi.

The France vs. Argentina replay petition reads: “The arbitration was totally sold, there was never a penalty + fault on MBAPPE on the 2nd goal!!!

“Sign and share en masse for the match to be replayed!”
