Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has fulfilled his $20,000 promise to the Rivers United Players and Staffs for winning the NPFL title.

Governor Wike promised the players and staff $20,000 each if they win the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League during the season.

The twitter handle of Rivers United announced this fulfilled pledge on their page.

According to reports, the champions have been credited directly to the beneficiaries who are said to be forty seven in number.
