Genk have agreed a €6.5 million with Slavia Praha to sign Nigerian forward Yira Sor ahead of the January transfer window.
Sor was unable to join Genk in the summer after both teams could not agree a fee to sign the youngster who was hinted to replace his compatriot Cyriel Dessers.
However, Genk has resuscitated the deal with Slavia Praha in a bid to sign the 22-year-old.
His €6 5m deal becomes Genk’s most expensive signing surpassing compatriot, Paul Onuachu, who arrived from FC Midtjylland for €6m in 2019.
The 22 year-old scored 11 goals, with nine assists in 41 appearances across all competitions for Slavia Praha last season.
