On the back of the defeat to Inter Milan last time out, Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen scored a goal and won a red card for Napoli in a 1-0 win over Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on Sunday.

Napoli had to get back their winning charm after losing to Inter Milan in last game week and they didn’t waste any time on going for it.

However, before the 20th minute, Osimhen put Naples in front, getting a foot to to Mario Ruiz’s early cross as the team broke on a counter attack.

It was Osimhen’s tenth goal of the season and comfortably leading the goal scoring chart and just four behind his total tally last season.

In the 38th minute, Rincón was shown a straight red card after fouling Osimhen who had bursted towards goal with the ball leaving all the defenders behind.

In the 80th minute, another penalty was awarded to Napoli upon VAR review, Elmas stepped up this time and didn’t miss the chance to make it 2-0.

With Victor Osimhen in this Napoli side, the Naples faithful have a chance to win the Scudetto now more than ever this century.
