Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman scored two quick fire goals to help Atalanta defeat Spezia at the Gewiss Stadium in the Coppa Italia Round of 16.
Lookman got the first goal in the 10th minute, when he guided a header from Scalvini into the net from just 2 yards out at the far post.
The Nigerian international made it 2-0 two minutes later, getting on the back of a splendid one-two pass with Duvan Zapata in the penalty area before shooting into the net.
The two goal lead didn’t last for long as Spezia got one back through Ekdal as a lovely touch from Nzola left him a lot of space to run in through and shoot on goal.
Another one-two exchange restored Atalanta two goal lead with Zapata and Maehle combining to set up Hateboer for the third goal.
In the 38th minute, Verde made it 3-2 as a low cross was sent into the box that eventually found way to the captain. Verde had a chance earlier on from a free kick but his attempt was just nearly on target.
Eighteen minutes before regular time, Luis Muriel set up Højlund for the fourth goal. The teenager blasted the ball into the roof of the net.
Højlund had a great chance to make it 5-2 but his finish hit the upright. The ball will later find its way into the net when unlucky Ampadu hit the rebound from the upright into his own goal.
Ademola Lookman has now scored 11 goals in 18 appearances this season.
