Super Eagles vice captain, William Troost-Ekong has signed a contract to join Italian club, Salernitana from Watford.

Ekong joined Watford from Udinese in the 2020/21 season and he is now returning to the Seria A with newly promoted Saleritana.

The Nigerian took to his social media to appreciate the fans and all members of the Watford Community to appreciate them. “The moment has come for me to move on from @watfordfcofficial after 3 special seasons shared with everyone involved. From everyone at the restaurant, security workers, volunteers at the stadium to the medical & office staff and all the rest you have made my time what it was. The coaches and most of all my teammates, I can only say thank you!!!
