Al Nassr manager Rudi Garcia has blamed veteran Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo for his club’s Saudi Super Cup semi-final loss.

Al-Nassr were knocked out of the Super Cup by Al-Ittihad on Thursday at the King Fahd International Stadium.

Romarinho got the home team in front under 15 minutes before Hamdallah doubled the advantage just before half time when Al Ittihad broke on a counter gotten from a Ronaldo poorly directed header.

Anderson Talisca tried to help fight for qualification when he scored a goal to make it 2-1 but Ronaldo’s side couldn’t just get the all important equalizer.

Mohannad Al-Shanqeeti capped up the win in the 93rd minute.

Rudi Garcia suggested that Ronaldo’s missed chances cost his side the win.

“One of the things that changed the course of the game was Cristiano Ronaldo’s missed opportunity in the first half,” Sport Bible quoted Garcia as saying.

“I congratulate Al-Ittihad. They presented a much better first half than us, and we played a good second half, but unfortunately we were not able to adjust the result.”

Ronaldo has made two appearances for Al-Nassr this season so far
