Nigerian winger Babajide Akinola registered a goal for Adana Demirspor as they win Ahmed Musa’s Sivasspor in Turkish Süper Lig on Saturday.

Henry Onyekuru tried to get on the score sheet for Adana Demirspor in the 15th minute but his shot was well saved by the goalkeeper.

In the 40th minute, a good run from Ndiaye was followed by a pass which was poorly cleared by the defense into the path of Akbaba who struck the ball beyond the goalkeeper into the net for the first goal.

Sivasspor tried to react to the goal conceded and surged for an equalizer but their attempts were blocked by the Adana Demirspor defenders and saved by the goalkeeper.

Demirspor made them pay for their missed chances via a corner that was swung in deep and headed across goal by Ndiaye. Babajide Akintola then directed the ball with his head into the net to make it 0-2.

Sivasspor came roaring again and almost capitalized on an Adana Demispor’s defender mistake but the shot was wide.

Ivorian, Gradel swung in a corner into the box for Cofie to head into the net and reduce the deficit in the 63rd minute with the home fans now singing loud and gearing for a comeback.

Max Gradel then tried to score himself but his shot only blew past the goal.

Late in the game, Sivasspor tried to get the equalizer with multiple shots on goal but the keeper and defense was equal to it.

In the clutch time, Akintola broke forward on a counter to kill the game and made a square to Ndiaye only for the shot to be over the cross bar.

Adana Demirspor won the match away from home 1-2 and move to 4th place with Sivasspor in the relegation zone.
