Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum has defended his side after suffering a seventh consecutive loss.
The nine-time African champions lost another Revelations Cup match to Colombia on Saturday 1-0.
Caicedo, who was fast-tracked from the U-17 team to the Colombia national team, scored what proved to be the winning goal just eight minutes into the game.
She took advantage of the error made by Falcons’ defender Halimatu Ayinde to score the only goal of the encounter largely dominated by the Colombians.

Waldrum has chosen to take performances over results, suggesting that results may be misleading and with consistent good performances, his team will be getting the positive results.
“I am disappointed in the results but would not gauge where we are with results, as results could be misleading. So many teams will lose to the teams that we lost to, we have played 5 of the top teams in the world and the level of competition is very high”.
“We always want to win and expect to win anytime we are on the pitch.
“Our Performances in those matches are what is important and not necessarily the results”.
“We played better in three of those matches he stated,” evidencing his choice for performance rather than results.
Randy Waldrum has failed to win a match since the quarter final win against Zambia in the Women African Cup Of Nations (WAFCON), totalling seven straight defeats with two being at the ongoing Revelations Cup.
