Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Shooting Stars have been fined after an official of the club was spotted urinating at the centre of the pitch during a league game.

Shooting Stars camp commandant, Auwal Mohammed was pictured carrying out the act during their home game with Akwa United last Sunday at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

The Football League governing body, IMC, has consequently fined the club and suspened the official for what they described as a ‘despicable’ act.

In a statement from the league’s governing body, IMC, the Oluyole Warriors and their senior official came under heavy criticism for the act.

According to the IMC, Mohammed breached rule C1.1 of its framework and the NPFL with his ‘despicable act’ that is capable of bring the game to disrepute in the country.

Consequently, Shooting Stars were fined N500,000 for failing to control their camp commandant, Mohammed, who has now been banned from all NPFL-related matter for one year.

The Warriors were also cautioned and warned to take appropriate steps to ensure there won’t be a repeat of the act in future.
