Nigeria U-20 men national team will face Uganda in the quarterfinals and a chance for automatic qualification to the World Cup should they reach the last four.
The Flying Eagles secured their quarterfinal ticket with back to back win against Egypt and Mozambique to clinch six point and be second in the group behind Senegal who defeated the Nigerians in the first group stage game.
Uganda and Congo were level on points and goal difference after all the group stages matches were played but the lord drawn, made Uganda top the group and will now play the Flying Eagles of Nigeria.
The quarter-final fixture will be played at the Suez Canal Stadium, Ismailia on Thursday, March 2.
A win will see the Flying Eagles secure a place at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup to be hosted by Indonesia later in the year.
