20-year-old Nigerian forward, Gift Orban, continues his excellent form in front of goal by scoring the equalizer in KAA Gent 1-1 draw against Istanbul Başakşehir at the Ghelamco Arena on Thursday night.

The young striker showed again why he impressed enough to win KAA Gent Player of the Month and Goal of the Month for February by scoring the equalizer.

The Greek club hosted the Turkish giants in the round of 16 first leg for a chance to qualify for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Stefano Okaka put the Turkish team in front just after 15 minutes of football but KAA Gent didn’t let the goal weak them and tried fighting back.

In the 35th minute, Gift Orban rewarded Gent with an equalizing goal for their trust in him and the continuous attack after falling behind in the game.

Neither side could get the winner despite many attempts and the match ended 1-1 with the return leg scheduled for Istanbul next week.

Orban has now scored 5 goals in 7 games this season since joining from Stabæk Fotball in January.
