Jose Peseiro, the coach of Nigeria’s national football team, is currently in Italy to watch Nigerian players in the Serie A league as they prepare for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau.

Peseiro has been observing various Nigerian players in the league, including Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Isaac Success, Dessers, Ola Aina, and Ebuehi, with the aim of making selections for the team’s upcoming matches.

The 62-year-old was at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium to watch Victor Osimhen’s Napoli beat Ademola Lookman’s Atalanta after which he outlined his plans to visit other match venues.

Peseiro has expressed interest in Success, who has not played for the Super Eagles since their 0-0 draw against Uganda in 2018, and has stated that he is among the players being closely monitored.

“We are observing him,” Peseiro told Sportitalia on Isaac Success

“To him and to many others in Serie A: Dessers, Ola Aina, Ebuehi, for example. We are observing them all, and then when we have to make a list, we will have to make choices, and it will not be easy,” Peseiro continued.
