Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, is looking forward to the two-legged AFCON qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau, and he is confident of an excellent result.

In an interview with NFF TV, Osimhen said “We are looking forward to it and happy to be back on the sport.

“It’s an amazing feeling and l’m really expecting an amazing result in the two-legged game against Guinea-Bissau.”

Despite not underestimating their opponents, he believes that the team is ready and in high spirits for the upcoming match.

“We don’t underrate our opponent and we want to give them the respect they deserve as a team.

“Of course, the boys are ready. We have a high spirit and I think we are ready to give our all come Friday.

“And also the second leg in Guinea-Bissau. Just like I said earlier, I’m really looking forward to it again and to contribute to the team.

“First of all, I want to promise them we will try everything possible to get the win, And of course, I would like to contribute with the help of the coach and a couple of assists.”

Osimhen emphasizes that the team comes first, and he promises to give his all to help them win and qualify for the next AFCON.

“But of course, the team comes first and I want to assure them that we will give everything to make sure they are entertained and to make sure they are happy by getting the win and also getting the qualification to the next AFCON.”

Although he does not care about being the highest scorer, he hopes to contribute to the team’s success with a few assists.

“I literally don’t care about being the highest scorer in the qualification series, but the team comes first, just like I said earlier.

“And then if my goals come and I eventually be the highest scorer, it’s a good and amazing feeling for me.

“But of course, the team comes first and I want what’s best for the team and I want to win a lot of games with this boys.”

Osimhen expresses his gratitude to the fans for their support and promises to do everything in their power to win their affection back.

“I want to say thank you very much for your support. Thank you very much for sticking with me, with the Super Eagles. Most especially your support throughout the years.

“I know we might have let you down in the past, but I want to say we will do everything in our power to make sure that we win your love back.

“And thank you for your support.

“Personally for me, I’m grateful for all the support you guys have been showing me from the start of this season until up to now.

“I appreciate you all and God bless you all. Thank you very much,” Osimhen concluded.

The first match of the two legged matches will be played on Friday by 5pm at the Abuja National Stadium.
