Nike, the official shirt manufacturers for Nigeria’s national teams, has revealed a new range of jerseys for the senior women’s team that they will wear at the Women’s World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand. The tournament will feature 32 teams divided into eight groups, with Nigeria placed in Group B alongside Australia, Republic of Ireland, and Canada. The Super Falcons will be donning a unique design that sets them apart from the men’s team. However, Nigeria’s team is experiencing their worst run in recent history, having failed to win any of their last six games, leaving head coach Randy Waldrum under immense pressure.
As part of their preparation for the World Cup, the Super Falcons are opening a camp ahead of two international friendlies in Turkey next month. They will play against Haiti’s national women’s team, who are also heading to the World Cup, on April 7 at the Emir Sports Complex in Antalya. Afterward, they will face New Zealand, one of the tournament’s co-hosts, on April 11 at the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya.
