Super Eagles eligible Chuba Akpom continues to impress with his goal-scoring prowess, as he found the back of the net in their commanding 5-1 victory against Norwich in the Championship match on Friday.

Akpom’s goal was his 27th for Middlesbrough in the English second-tier division, and it also saw him equal the Championship record for scoring in eight consecutive home games.

The former Arsenal striker scored Middlesbrough’s fifth goal in the 49th minute, sealing the 5-1 win.

The victory helped Middlesbrough bounce back from a three-game winless streak and leapfrog Luton to claim the third spot in the league table on goal difference.

They are now five points behind second-placed Sheffield United.
