Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers faced off in a derby match at King Power Stadium. Despite being threatened by relegation, Leicester put on a strong performance.
However, it was Wolves who scored first with Matheus Cunha’s goal after 13 minutes, marking their first-ever away goal at Leicester.
But Leicester did not give up and managed to equalize before half-time when Kelechi Iheanacho scored from the penalty spot in the 37th minute.
In the second half, Leicester continued to push and managed to take the lead with only 15 minutes left on the clock thanks to Timothy Castagne’s well-placed shot.
The Foxes held on to their lead and secured a crucial win, with Iheanacho’s contribution being a key factor in the victory.
Kelechi Iheanacho has now scored 55 goals for Leicester City. Jamie Vardy (168) is the only active Leicester player with more.
