The Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation, in collaboration with the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), has announced the return of the Dozy Mmobuosi Super Cup Football Tournament in 2023.

This year’s edition will include twelve top teams from the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) and will have a prize pool of ₦1.2 billion, with the winning team receiving ₦1 billion, the runners-up receiving ₦200 million, and each participating team receiving an appearance fee of ₦20 million.

The decision to expand the tournament to include more teams was made in response to fans’ and stakeholders’ growing demand for high-quality football, and the increased funding will enable teams to invest in players, facilities, and infrastructure.

The joint organising committee, comprising members from both the Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation and the NPFL, will manage the tournament’s various aspects to ensure its smooth execution.

The tournament presents an excellent platform to showcase Nigerian football and promote its growth and development.
