
President of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Amadou Gallo Fall has said that tickets for the opening games have been sold out.
Cape Town Tigers will face Stade Malien in the first game while the home team, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) will play Al Ahly in the second game on Saturday, 20th May at the 10,000 capacity BK Arena.
Fall made this known while addressing the media at the opening BAL media briefing at the BK Arena, Kigali.
“We are sold out for tomorrow’s game,” Fall announced. I encourage fans to purchase their tickets for the next games on bal.nba.com. And for those who won’t have access to the arena, the games are broadcasted in over 200 channels on our various partners.”
Fall continuted: “We continue to have exciting side events beyond the court, the product on the court remains our focus which is an opportunity to showcase Africa at its best.The opportunity to do big events for global standands for African talents on and off the court.
Fall is excited about the games coming up in the next few days which will produce a new winner on May 27.
“We are in Kigali and we are super excited about the match ups and the tipoff of our BAL Finals in Kigali and I am excited we will crown a new champion in Kigali.”
The media briefing was also attended by Rwandan Minister of Sports Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju and FIBA Africa President Anibal Manave.
